I will be teaching at this year's 'Dream Blues Camp' in Penticton BC. This year I will offer my students a workshop in ‘The Art of the Shuffle’.

‘Tune up your Rhythm Blues Guitar playing!’

We will look at and learn various forms of playing rhythm Blues guitar. We will also work on different shuffles in the Chicago and Texas Blues styles. Important and useful patterns, turnarounds and riffs in the styles of Jimmy Reed and the great Eddie Taylor and more. You will learn some solid rhythm guitar playing ideas that will serve you well when jamming with others or leading your own Blues band.

Monday – lunch at Sandman Hotel, 2 ½ hrs of lessons, 1:30 – 4:00 PM, Conference Centre or Sandman; 6 – 9 students per class, 4:30 – 6:00 PM jams (acoustic or electric) ; Followed by 6:30 dinner at Dream Café , then a two-set performance by teachers. Hotel rooms are available for students at The Sandman Hotel for a discounted rate of $89 per night.
